These books will help my students get fully immersed in a world of reading. After being out of school buildings for most of their education so far, many of my students cannot yet access the books I have in my classroom. Second grade is an especially important time for students to make gains in their reading, so that they are ready to “read to learn” in third grade. Your donation will help my students make the leap from knowing alphabetic sounds to being meaning-making readers! This is vital, not just for students to be on grade level, but for the more essential goal of fostering a lifelong love of reading.

About my class
