The goal at is to create an Agriculture Technology program where students will develop a computer-controlled aeroponic growing system that is both sustainable and affordable to operate.
We will utilize principles from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to provide the ideal growing conditions for fruits and vegetables. We will lean on the computer sciences to control and automate all processes. Engineering concepts will be used to design an effective system that maximizes efficiency, affordability, and sustainability. In the short term, we will use the system to increase the availability of high-quality fresh produce and improve the overall health and eating habits of our community. With the human population projected to be 11 Billion by 2050, our long-term vision is to develop a viable solution for feeding the world's growing population. As worldwide agricultural productivity will need to increase by 70%, we believe this program will empower our students to help solve these issues.
