My wonderful first graders attend a Title I elementary school serving around 400 students in a very diverse community. Over eighty percent of our students qualify to receive free or reduced-price lunches, which is a federal indicator of living below the poverty level. Our backgrounds, languages, and cultures may be different, but we all create and have cherished memories we hold dear throughout the school year together. Donations through Donors Choose give my students the supplies they need for success.
