I am privileged to be a 7th grade ESE math co-teacher this year. Coming from the elementary school setting I am in need of many manipulatives and math tools for my students. My co-teacher and I embrace the diversity of each learners' needs.
I also teach a 6th grade math class and 6-8th grade learning strategies class.
Adding/Subtracting/Multiplying/Dividing/Converting fractions, decimals, mixed numbers, and improper fractions can be overwhelming for students, let alone students with learning disabilities. Those skills are the stepping stones for the entire 7th-grade curriculum. That is where the class set of scientific calculators come in. Using this math tool, students are able to gain confidence in their ability to solve math equations.
