I'm a Class Instrumental Music Teacher, which means I travel to 5 schools (this year) and build Strings Programs. I teach students from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. All of my schools are in high poverty areas. I have over 200 students who enjoy playing their instruments.
My students learn more than just "how to play the violin" in their strings program. Other than playing an instrument in our program we learn leadership skills, build self confidence, discipline, and music theory. I include music that the students want to learn such as pop tunes and they can't stop asking for more.
Currently all the instruments are being used and I have to turn away students everyday. Hopefully with your help we can build our programs and reach out to more students .
