The flexible seating is going to make a significant difference in students' learning, because they are going to be more attentive to learn and motivated to complete reading assignments, cooperative group work and whole class instruction. There is a great emphasis on reading primary and secondary sources and it would be great to see the students read in a more comfortable setting. I have noticed over the years when Spring weather arrives and the opportunity arises to learn outside, the students are immediately more energized, focused and motivated. I would like to use the flexible seating as an alternative to standard desks and allow for a rotation system to complete course work. Movement is paramount for stimulation of the brain. Who said learning shouldn't be more comfortable?
