Our local fish hatchery has a program to bring salmon into classrooms in our watershed. The materials I am looking for is a complete 55 gallon aquarium kit. This will allow us to have Coho salmon eggs in our room to watch hatch and grow.
In fourth grade we spend many weeks learning about endangered species and why they are endangered. This aquarium kit will allow the students to explore why salmon in Washington are endangered, what they need to survive and their life cycle. This hands-on activity brings life to science. Student will be able to watch salmon eggs hatch right at school, a once in a lifetime activity!
