For my students to become both culturally literate and technologically literate, I need the resources in my classroom to lift them up and elevate their learning. By purchasing age appropriate books that the students can see themselves in, they are more likely to be fully engaged in the reading and to find a love of reading in both English and Spanish.
By purchasing the Osmo Kit my students are going to be able to access Spanish and English vocabulary that is targeted to their specific learning needs as well as coding skills which are so critical in this day and age but so often unattainable if students do not have access to this technology at home.
By donating to this project you will be helping students to find a love of learning in two languages by seeing themselves in the tools they have available in the classroom. These items will not only benefit the class that I will have this year, but each year thereafter. Being culturally inclusive is such a big task, and each and every single student deserves to feel represented. That is what these resources will help me do!
