I teach teenage students with autism spectrum disorders. Our school only serves students with special needs in a low-income neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. My students are wonderful kids! They are high functioning and really love learning. They sometimes amaze me by how fast they learn what I have taught them. I continually tell them how smart they are and encourage them with high fives through out the day.
