The school I work at is a Title I school with a very high minority population. Due to this, the students at this school are not given the resources like their peers in other parts of the city. I want these children to have the same opportunities as their affluent peers so they too can succeed. These children have the same dreams, ambitions, and hopes as other children but are not given the same opportunities and resources just because they were born into a certain socio-economic status. Our school is an excellent school that has improved tremendously over the last couple of years and we even met all 21 AYP goals last year. The teachers at my school are trying their best to teach each and everyone of the students. With the help of donated books the school can only improve out students reading ability.
