These materials will help my students gain access to their teachers, peers, and classroom technology. Because they have hearing loss, having working hearing equipment is vital to their learning. Without working hearing equipment, listening is a daily struggle and becomes exhausting work. Areas such as Reading, Math, Language Arts, and Communication are affected simply because the students struggle to hear their teachers, their peers, and themselves. Hearing technology such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, and FM systems can be helpful in relieving some of this exhaustion by helping them gain more auditory access. These materials will help keep their hearing aids/microphone equipment working to the best of their abilities, allowing my students to focus on the most important part of school: learning!
