My students need to escape the traditional classroom and into a world of adventure through "Escape the Classroom" activities. Imagine my students excitement as they race around the classroom or school participating in an authentic escape activity. Frantically solving and decoding clues and puzzles found to open the locks on the lock boxes. These clues and puzzles written on bright colored paper are essential to their escape! Plus the added bonus of TOP SECRET codes written in invisible ink only to be decoded using a special UV flashlight to elicit suspense and excitement on utilizing learned content to be the first to escape! Once they've escaped, a special certificate on parchment paper will be awarded to the first escapees. I have created several digital escapes where the students energetically practice critical thinking and problem solving skills to decode clues and puzzles to escape using learned content. Their competitive spirit comes shining through as well as the anticipation of finishing first.
While these digital escapes help bring excitement and adventure into the classroom, they just aren’t enough. They lack the essential hands-on materials to heighten the experience.
Would you please consider helping us to get the necessary equipment for our "Escape the Classroom" experiences? Thank you!
