I teach Pre-K at a Title 1 school in Georgia. Most of our children have very little exposure to life outside of our little town. It is my hope to have every child gain that exposure in my classroom. We go on a couple of field trips a year, but that's all we can afford. Because of this, we have to be creative. Sometimes this means setting up a grocery store in the classroom or making a barn puppet stand with farm animal puppets. Sometimes it's through acting, singing, or dancing. We make sure our children learn the fundamentals while also learning about the world around them.
