My students need tablets to help them become immersed into the curriculum, and to enhance their learning experiences. Technology has taken a permanent position in everyone's personal life. Why should the classroom be any different? Students hunger for information and thirst for knowledge. While textbooks are an invaluable part of their learning process they can lack the real-world application students crave.
Classroom laptops offer a way for students to see science in action in their neighborhoods as well as across the world. They can complete their own research and inquiry-based learning on scientific topics that interest them. This keeps them engaged and excited about a variety of concepts.
In addition to research, students will also use laptops to see science in action. Students love lab experiments but with time constraints and other classroom limitations they are not always possible. Even when they are possible, students who are absent miss the key concepts presented in the lab. A laptop provides students an opportunity to watch great experiments that are designed to aid their learning.
My students learning will be elevated to a whole new level with laptops in our classroom. We need your help to bring science to life in a way that textbooks fall short. Please help bring laptops to our classroom.
