Welcome to my Donors Choose! I'm a high school teacher that works with 9th-12th grade students. I teach American Sign Language (ASL) & AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination).
The students that take ASL are mostly hearing students (there are some Hard of Hearing students) that have a hunger for learning the language. They choose the road less traveled by not learning Spanish or French.
The AVID students are students that have dreams of going to college. Most of them will be the first in their family to go to college. I support them for all 4 years in high school. Over their 4 years in high school we go to different college campuses for tours, work on college applications, learn note taking & organizational skills, & learn how to effectively work with peers on higher level thinking to solve academic problems &/or road bumps.
I have 165 amazing teenagers that teach me something new everyday!
