My name is Shelley Williams and it is an honor to be an instructor for Houston ISD. Each school year I work with young adults with disabilities to help them prepare for future employment. Rather than staying inside the traditional school walls we are working interns. Each morning we have a team meeting in our tanning room then it is off to work we go. From sorting, filing, stocking, and making large pots of commercial coffee we are busy all day long. Not to mention we welcome new employees and set up work stations. Currently 3 of the interns have been hired to work for Fortune Five Companies. It is my dream job to help others find competitive employment and be independent advocates. With job skills training we can all groom the future of America. Soft skills, advocacy, and accomplish challenges are what we do daily.
