If I could describe my classroom in five words it would be engaging, compassionate, creative, funny, and hard working. They take ownership for the learning and realize it is okay to make mistakes. This year I was lucky to move into second grade with my students from first grade. They amaze me even though most of them have struggles at home. I teach at an at-risk school. Some of my students are homeless but manage to make learning important. Our school is 100% free and reduced-price lunch.
Our classroom is welcoming and encouraging of others. My students take pride in their work and do their best everyday! They are excited and eager to come to school and learn.
