I teach an exceptional group of fifth graders in a high-needs community in the heart of Tucson. Students in my classroom learn the importance of success through perseverance, diligence, organization, hard work, and not to give up despite circumstances. My students are exceptional to me because of their longing to learn, their kindness to self and others, and their responsibility to learning. Some highlights include students who develop from timid, self-critical readers and mathematicians into confident and successful lifelong learners.
My charge and commitment as an educator is to provide as much opportunity for my exemplary students.
As our school is a high-needs school, oftentimes students are not given equitable opportunities as those of other schools around us. Donations to my classroom will be highly useful and will help my students tremendously.
