My students are an amazing bunch of 4th graders in a public elementary school in Pennsylvania. The are silly, they are inquisitive, they are challenging, but MOST importantly they are my world! My students include both general education and special education students, as well as english language learners. Their abilities vary greatly, as I am always seeking out resources and instructions strategies to individualize their learning opportunities in a large classroom with 31 students. Reading is a constant area where I continuously need to provide interventions. Even with their difficulties in reading my students find so much enjoyment in reading books and being read to. An individualized listening center will allow me to target interventions to several students at a time, rather than having a whole group of students listening to the same story.
