This is my 12 year of teaching and I love it! What saddens me is when my students must read books that are falling apart, as well as, have been in the literary canon since I was a baby. With the Common Core - students need books that relate to their lives and make them critical thinkers. I want to open their eyes to the world and make them better human beings.
