I’m a third grade special education teacher in a high needs Title I elementary school. We started the school year off virtually which meant I had to transform the way I teach overnight to meet the needs of my diverse learners. We are now transitioning into an in-person model. This school year is going to have new challenges that teachers and students are going to face, and that include more than just academics. Not only am I worried about my safety and health, but I'm also concerned about my students' safety and health. I am asking for your help and generosity to create the best and safest learning environment for my students. Every student in my classroom will be socially distant and needs his or her own personal supplies and storage to make sure everyone stays safe. These supplies will be used in the classroom to store student supplies safely. Due to COVID-19, supplies such as whiteboards cannot be shared as has been done in the past. These whiteboards and headphones will allow students to enjoy hands-on learning in a safe way. If you are able, please donate to my students and my classroom this school year.
