Welcome to English class, where students sit through a 90-minute block filled with grammar and writing lessons, American and British Literature, class discussions, and some technology-enhanced projects. Literature offers life lessons, a chance to travel the world at no cost, and a window into other people's perspectives. The classroom is as inviting as possible--it offers stability balls and wobble cushions to keep students moving, to keep their brains oxygenated, to keep them engaged. We also have one-to-one devices provided by the district, though this can sometimes be more of a hurdle than an enhancement.
