I teach at a high school in California. We are in a rural area where many families don't have the means to buy a musical instrument for students who want to play. Our band program is growing and in order to keep pace with that growth we need to have enough instruments for the students to use. Budget cuts in our district have made purchasing new instruments very challenging and I don't want to have to turn students away because I don't have an instrument to give them.
