I am a 4th generation educator with a passion for history, travel, photography, educational technology and life long learning. Whenever possible, I try to combine these passions into engaging lessons and challenging experiences for my students. I just completed my 16th year of teaching. With experience in most social science courses from grades 7-12, I have found that my greatest passion lies in teaching United States History. As a life long learner myself, I constantly seek out opportunities for professional development and collaboration with other educators. Content related seminars through the National Endowment for the Humanities have taken me to Pearl Harbor, Alabama and Montana to experience history on location. I currently teach 11th grade US History and Advanced Placement US History.
