By having different hands-on learning experiences, for reading skills, in our classroom, students will be able to physically manipulate the sounds they are hearing. This will benefit the students, as many of them are struggling due to not getting the hands-on learning experiences the past two years because of Covid. Hands-on learning is very important in our classroom with the different learning styles the children have.
With these materials, they will be able to physically build words by mastering "CVC words, blends, and digraphs, and vowel sounds - one phoneme at a time!" When the students master their phonic skills, it will increase their overall academic learning because they are no longer struggling to read. They, in turn, will be reading to learn!
