Students learn through doing. My students come from a wide variety of countries and are working hard to better their education. The student population at my school is a predominantly Latino, ESL/Bilingual population. Many of which live well below the poverty line. I work hard to provide my students with the best reading and history classroom possible and I do that with the help of the materials I request. Each year my students gain not only the academic knowledge but also the knowledge that their lives are valuable and valid. The experiences they have are just as important as those of their teachers and peers and everyone else. My goal is that my students grow in their academic knowledge but also as individuals.
