These materials will allow students to use their imaginations even more while reading. They can pretend to be outside and one with nature all while improving their reading skills. Sitting on a tree stump on the leafy carpet while reading a book about animals in the wild would be a great experience for my students.
Sitting in the nature canopy alone or with a friend is a good way to focus and learn pre-reading skills without the distraction of a large group.
These items will spark my students' interests and grab their attention. The feeling of being one with nature and peace will engage them and keep them coming back for more!
