Hello! My name is Miss Sarah, and I currently teach 5th and 6th grade students with medical disabilities in Newark, NJ. For 3 years I taught kindergarten students with autism at McKinley School in Newark. I then taught 3rd/4th grade students with multiple disabilities at New Jersey Regional Day School for 2 years.
I am energetic, creative, love to dance and I love my students! I have a teacher website dedicated to my personal reflections and projects that I am doing inside and outside the classroom, called www.missraraventures.com.
My passion is teaching students with special needs just how special they are, and give them tools to succeed in life. I accomplish that in a myriad of ways through using their funds of knowledge, interests, engagement, and technological curiosity.
