I currently teach science to all the fourth grade students at our school. That's nearly 80 kids! One thing that I have noticed about all of my students is that they really enjoy science. Every week students perform science investigations which make the learning process more exciting and fun. Students are engaged, tend to remember the material better, and feel a sense of accomplishment when the task is completed because of the hands-on experience.
Regardless of their academic level, all of my students are intrigued and try hard because they find the subject matter interesting. I feel good knowing that the students are directing their own learning and building real understanding that is not gained through listening to a lecture, but rather through their own first-hand experience.
