My students range from behavioral and academic challenges to gifted. The community is 90% free and reduced, the highest special education population, plus we are the only school that serves group homes. Many of our students come from single parent families and they work to help support the home. Some feel they have no future and others are determined to be successful. We have lost students to job loss, illness and sadly, death. School is a beacon of light, safety and a sense of belonging.. Our goal is to help them choose a path that leads to a happy life. My goal for this donation program is to buy items such as paper, pencils, pens, erasers, spiral notebooks, high lighters, jump drives, folders, markers, dry erase markers, erasers, white board cleaner, and even snacks for those who haven't eaten (crackers, granola bars, etc.) The possibility of purchasing books for recreational reading is also a wish! Thank you.
