The LCHS Performing Arts program is a comprehensive music education program comprised of 50+ students in grades 9-12. Over 15% of the student body at LCHS participates in this program including the Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Pep Band, Choir, and various small ensembles. We also sponsor a chapter of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society at LCHS. Our program serves a diverse group of students in grades 9-12. Over 75% of LCHS students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and many families continue to struggle with the effects and massive damage caused by Hurricane Michael, a "Category 5" hurricane which devastated Liberty County and the entire Florida panhandle in October 2018. The overarching goal of our program is to instill leadership skills and bring positively life changing experiences to these students through the vehicle of excellence in music performance.
