I am asking for funding for four classroom Chromebooks to expand my class’s technology offering by 100%. Many of my students struggle with STEM courses. These students would be able to use these Chromebooks to be more successful in their math and science courses, as they would have better access to online tutoring programs, visual aids, up-to-date research sources, and word processing programs. Many students have also expressed an interest in learning and using more technology, but have had limited experiences with programs like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. These Chromebooks would allow me to conduct small group lessons on these programs which are vital to students’ success in their current courses, as well as college and beyond. Students would also use these Chromebooks to research colleges or trade school, apply for financial aid, learn about budgeting, and communicate with their teachers.
