Last year my students made personalized craft presents for their parents and I was amazed. We have cooperative grouping and they work in pairs all the time but the amount of sharing and teamwork blew my mind. I wanted to see if lightning could strike twice, so for field day we made tye-dye t-shirts. Again they amazed me. My least cooperative student began instructing other students and became project manager. It is always makes me proud when they step up and become leaders! I am hoping with the Cricut machine we will be able to do more projects and possibly some school spirit fundraising.
