My students are incredibly unique, creative, and funny individuals who all have disabilities including attention and many types of processing disorders. These beautiful young adults are in 9th and 10th Grade. These upstanding students are involved in both the New Tech Network and Facing History and Ourselves school organizations, which means that every day they learn through the Project Based Learning model with intense focus on morals, being an active and positive citizen, and an agent for change. Our school strives to work hand in hand with our Cleveland inner-city community.
I like to believe that my style is akin to Ms. Frizzle's in The Magic School Bus series, and, with your help, we can actually get even closer to it, minus the shrinking school bus that can travel in space (unless you can fund that, I'd totally make that project). My goal is for students to have hands on, real life experiences to learn from.
