Do you know what flexible seating is? Flexible seating allows students to sit on various types of seating that appeals to them and allows them to do their best work. Everyday they can choose a different place and seat. Students sit at school for more than half of the time they are there. Why not give them comfortable seating that allows them to feel at home and get the wiggles out while still working!
My amazing students deserve an amazing and comfortable environment. I have purchased a few items from my own money such as balance balls, stools and scoop rockers. It can get pricey! I want all my students to have options of what to sit on when they come to school. Right now we rotate out the few items that I have bought.
If you walked into my classroom right now you would see students everywhere working! I do not make my students sit on a chair all day long. As long as they are working they can choose where to sit. Sometimes that is under a table or on a high stool! I would love to get more balance balls in my class (its a favorite), wobble chairs and padded stools. Please help me create a more flexible classroom!
