Most of my students do not have a great history with reading. They have come to seventh grade and continue in 8th and 9th grade, still reluctant to independently read for pleasure. This affects both their enjoyment of school and their comprehension levels. My goal is to make sure they can look up titles on the iPad and have access to popular, high-interest titles to jump start a love of literature using the Kindle readers. Also, they will be able to use a nicer Kindle as VIP reward for achieving their goals.
Kindle readers will inspire and create an aptitude and desire for reading.
I am hoping to use these e-readers to help my students to explore the world of books and become passionate about literature. By donating to my project, you will help me encourage reading and enhance the literacy skills of my students.
Thank you!
