When learning two languages, students need to talk to each other frequently to practice the language. Students need an environment that allows them to flexibly move around. We do a lot of collaborative learning in our classroom: they work in pairs and in small groups to practice the target language. They need round tables to get closer to each other as they collaborate on a given project. With rectangular tables, it is difficult to move around, and they are often far apart from each other. The round tables, stools, and lap desks will give them the flexibility to collaborate in a comfortable setting.
