As the bell rings for school, wide eyed students rush to class to enjoy another great day of learning. These students come from various backgrounds and home lives. Yet, one thing unites each of them, that is, there eagerness to explore the world around them. Nothing excites my students more than when they are engaged in deep discussion of new concepts with their partners. One essential component to education is a child’s ability to successfully share their new found knowledge with others. During these discussions students are able to understand not only their own learning, but also that of others. Thus, giving students an opportunity to understand another point of view. Our classroom is centered on learning from each other and respecting that we all learn differently.
