My students are from an inner city public school where supplies are scarce. They thrive on using manipulatives daily in the classroom setting, individually and in small groups. They love to read chapter books, series books and want to be creative in how they share with others what they've learned. They would like to be proud of how their classroom looks and what they have available to them to help demonstrate their understanding of information. Just like the saying goes, "you feel as good as you look", well I believe the same can be said about how students feel about themselves as learners. They are as good as how they feel about their work, and because of people like you, they can be proud of what they accomplish in the classroom.
