We are a third grade class in California. My students are high performing despite being in the midst of a low economic area. The majority of my class is on the lunch program which offers lunch at a free or reduced price. My students work hard and study harder. They are a wonderful group who always does more than what is asked. They are strong in reading and even stronger in math. My students have been introduced to the world of performing arts where many of them are finding their voices by going beyond their comfort level.
