We are a small charter school located in rural Michigan. The students who will be participating in this project are grades 1-5 with a great passion for learning and keeping our world beautiful.
Our school's motto is safe, loved and learning. The staff understands that learning can not occur unless the children first feel safe and loved so that is our number one goal. A large part of our student population is at risk. We provide all of the children free breakfast and lunch every day of the week no matter what their circumstances. We require that the students and staff wear uniforms every day. Some of our students can't afford them so the staff has pitched in to purchase items so they can continue to attend the school.
Unfortunately there isn't much money left over for art supplies. Every student attends art class at least twice a week and in order to provide a well rounded art curriculum I am reaching out here for some assistance.
