I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist in a military town in North Carolina. My students range from preschool to 12th grade. They have a variety of skills, interests, backgrounds, and needs, but they ALL want to be heard by and important to the people around them.
Some students need help with pronouncing sounds, others are learning to manage their stuttering. Still others need a variety of strategies or devices to communicate. All need support to perform well in the classroom. Our region's percentage of students who have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum is higher than the national average.
My students go to different schools and learn in a variety of settings. Helping them learn to communicate so they can communicate what they have learned is my passion. They all have smiles that go straight to my heart.
