I'm a 5th grade teacher at a predominantly Latino and low income community in Salinas, CA. My mission is to help students and meet them where they are at. A lot of these students struggle with learning disabilities, attention difficulties and rough starts at home, but my mission as a teacher is to make their classroom a safe space where they can come and only focus on bettering themselves. This can be done through giving them the tools they need to support their emotional, social, physical, and overall needs.
