Many students are restricted by desks to the sitting position all day, by adding these flexible seating options to my classroom students will be encouraged to stretch and move freely for optimum learning.
Flexible classrooms give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and helps them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. So I am looking for items to add more flexible seating options in my class!
Students that like to sit on the floor will have the option to use the stability cushions on the floor around a low table for comfort and balance. The stability balls will provide children that have a hard time sitting still with the option to bounce and balance at their desk or in other areas in the room. The chair bands will be used on the chairs of students who fidget or bounce their legs while working. This will help minimize any distractions from tables or desks moving while they are working. There are always students who prefer to stand while working so the balancing pods will be used at raised desks for them.
You have no idea how excited I would be to start my year off with these flexible seating options! (and the kiddos would be too!)
