Today a reader, tomorrow a leader. I have attended two Professional Development opportunities over the last three months that have flipped the way I have taught for the last 21 years. I am inspired to "ditch" the text book and put some REAL books in the hands of my students. My first goal of the coming school year is biographies. I want to ensure that each of my students has the opportunity to choose a person they would like to read about as we embark on this new journey together. The Who Is? book series will make this happen. I hope that as students read the book series about the lives, failures, and triumphs of historical figures, that they will be inspired to achieve more than they though they could.
