For students in my classroom, math does not always come easy. By adding these fraction tiles, volumetric solids, and two-colored counters to our toolset, my students can experience some of the more difficult math concepts we are learning in a more hands on and meaningful way.
When my students are working together in small groups, often times that is when true learning occurs. These resources will be useful resources for them during small group time and whole group instruction.
We will use the two-colored counters to help students visualize adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers. The fraction tiles will be used to visualize adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, and the volumetric solids will be used to teach geometric shapes and how to find their volume and surface area.
