My class is a wonderful group of 2nd graders. On a daily basis, they eagerly seek out learning in all subjects. They enjoy working in whole group, partners and independently, and show an impressive amount of collaboration throughout the day for being 6-8 year olds. My school is located in a lower income community, therefore, many of my students have parents who work several jobs to make ends meet. Which means, these students rely on my school to feed them twice a day (at no cost), and the education they receive each day is the extent of their education. Despite their home life, my students come to school each day with a bright smile and their learning caps on, ready to tackle the day, with an overwhelming amount of spirit.
