I'm a fourth grade teacher working in Gaston County, North Carolina. I've been teaching for 6 years and truly love coming to work everyday. I love being able to help my students grow as little humans but also develop as learners. The students in my class live in a high-poverty, low income area and 100% of my school receives free breakfast and lunch. Several of my students are part of the backpack weekend food program provided by the school. I'd love to be able to help relieve the stress for my student's families by being able to provide a variety of tools, books, and games to make them love coming to school as much as I do.
