Please help me give my students art materials during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are requesting paper, crayons, markers and coloring books that will help my students' social emotional well-being during the pandemic. The coloring books provide inspiration, motivation and relaxation to help prevent anxiety. The paper allows them to channel creativity as they work at home. Everyone could use some words of encouragement and also something fun to do. These motivational coloring books and art materials can bridge both the creativity and words of encouragement together for my students!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and stress, anxiety, worry, depression and sadness is more prevalent now then ever. As a School Counselor, many of my students have not been leaving their homes during this time and are beginning to show signs of struggles with their mental health and/or social emotional well-being. Some of my parents are essential workers, some have lost their jobs, and some are just trying to stay afloat. Some have tested positive and/or experienced death of a loved one during this time. One can imagine the stress of having your entire family's lives change in an instant. I am willing to do anything to help put a smile on their faces during this time!
