My students are in kindergarten through fifth grade. They are very sweet, curious, and excited to learn. We are a Title 1 school in a high poverty area. Since I am the Title 1 teacher, I work with small groups from each classroom for thirty minutes a day on literacy skills. As skills are mastered, the students I have in my small groups, change. I analyze testing data to determine what skills students are missing, and those are the skills I teach. The students in my school enjoy coming to my classroom. I work very hard at making my classroom a fun place to learn. Our school is equipped with a lot of technology. Every classroom has a smart board, student computers, and most classrooms have iPads, document cameras, and Apple TV. We utilize technology every way we can throughout our day. Our school works very hard to meet the individual needs of our learners and to make learning fun.
